Tuscan Harvest Dinner

November is harvest time in Chianti, one of the most beautiful times of the year, and to celebrate, I am hosting a special 4-course Tuscan Harvest Dinner. 

In collaboration with chef Cosimo Ieraci, I will prepare some of my favorite dishes growing up in rural Tuscany. During the evening I will share stories about my family farm, the olive and grape harvest, and the classic dishes we'll enjoy during the meal.

Bruschette di funghi, fegatini e fettunta con pomodoro 
Bruschetta made three ways - mushroom; liver pate; and garlic-tomato ("fettunta") 

Pecorino e finocchiona
Sheep's milk cheese and Tuscan salame

Gnudi fatti in due modi 
Oven baked ricotta and spinach gnudi served two ways: with tomato sauce, and butter and sage

Vitella arrosto con pistacchi 
Roasted veal stuffed with pistacchio 

Pollo alla cacciatora in bianco 
"White" chicken cacciatora with olives, wine and herbs  

Stufato di cannellini e cavolo nero 
Cannellini and black kale stew
